Liebster award

Today I woke up to discover that my blog had been nominated for a Liebster award (thank you Amanda!) It is an award to promote blogs with less than 200 followers! How great is that?

To participate there's a few rules to follow. Here goes:

1. Tell 7 things about yourself.

2. Answer 11 questions you have been asked by the person who nominated you.

3. Nominate 7 bloggers for the award (by posting a comment for example).

4. Mention on your article the blogger who nominated you, the bloggers you chose to nominate and the 11 questions you want your nominees to answer. 

7 things about myself:

1. I'm from Helsingborg, Sweden but I live in Los Angeles with my husband Mattias, since almost 2 years back, and I really love it here.

2. I've been interested in fashion since I was just a little girl reading my mum's magazines.

3. My husband and I got married 2 1/2 years ago in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was just the two of us, and it was a really amazing day.

4. I love to read. I'm a real magazine junkie. I love glossy covers and a good book.

5. I don't have any siblings, but 8 uncles and 1 aunt, and over 30 cousins.

6. One of my favorite things is to have dinner with good friends and family, and just talk the night away.

1. Why did you decide to start a blog?

I started blogging because I love to write and take photos.  I also wanted to share my life and experiences here in LA with friends and family.

2. What do you do for a living, and what do you wish you were doing?

Right now I work in a clothing store here in Santa Monica. 

3. Where do you live and where do you wish you were living?

I live in Los Angeles, in Santa Monica to be specific. I love living here, but I wouldn't mind trying out another city one day... Maybe New York.

4. Favourite designer(s)?

Isabel Marant, By Malene Birger, Zadig & Voltaire and Marchesa... It's pure art. On the cheaper side I love J.crew.

5. Favourite author(s)?

I don't really have one... The only one I can think of right now is Curtis Sittenfeld.

6. Favourite travel destination(s)?

Every place I've been has been fun in some way. I love Italy for its food and lovely culture, India for its craziness and vibrant cities and New York because it's just an amazing city.

7. Favourite pair of shoes?

Right now it's my Minnetonka ankle boots. You can find them here.

8. Favourite item in your wardrobe?

This brown leather clutch that my mom bought in the 70s, or 80s. It goes with almost everything, and I love the details.

9. Where do you go/what do you do for inspiration?

I get inspiration from a lot of things; people, magazines, blogs, old photos.

10. How would you describe your style?

I guess my style is a bit romantic and girly, but also preppy. I like jeans, but I also wear a lot of dresses and skirts, especially to work. 

11. Describe a perfect day.

I have breakfast at home with my husband. The sun is shining so we decide to go to the beach for a couple of hours. After that we stroll along the beach, and maybe have some frozen yogurt. Hopefully I buy something, haha. In the evening we meet up with some friends and/or family and have dinner at a nice restaurant. It's still warm outside, even though it's quite late. We decide to go home and light candles in our little patio, and just sit there and have a glass of wine and talk. I love to sit outside in the evening!
